The prep time for most recipes is usually under an hour. I am halfway through week 2 of 8 weeks of preparation for my work teaching English in Central Asia. It has been such a blessing to get to know people of all ages and from all over the US who are headed to various countries around the world to serve people in numerous capacities. I have met people who will be teaching English, doing administrative work, coaching sports, and working as coffee interns.
I have been stretched in so many ways and am learning a lot about working in another culture. My partner and I will have starting learning the script for our new language, Kurdish, and that has been quite the fun experience. We have flashcards for the letters that sound like "b", "n", "p" and "t". This is just the beginning!!
We have been learning so much about our company and the way we will be supported by them while we are in our country and it is soooooooooo amazing the way that they take care of their workers! It is so humbling to be blessed in that way!! Just know that you Aunt Lttie dollars are NOT being wasted! We would not have this time of training and preparation if it were for those who help keep our company up and running! So very grateful!
We have also been privileged to get to know a few families and plenty of other single men and women who are getting ready to work internationally as well! On Saturday, we are having a birthday party for sweet little V...one of the daughters of the families I know! It has been a blessing to have community and support during this time as well! What a provision :)
Though it feels as though I am trying to drink water out of a fire hose, this training is absolutely awesome and quite the privilege! Looking forward to keeping you posted about more exciting events to come!
