So, they took my wisdom teeth out... thankfully, it was only rough for a few days. And mostly because of the swelling and the fact that eating was just a pain in the neck (well, in the mouth). However, I did get a great little mini-vacation in Istanbul for several days. Got to see some friends, finally saw The Hunger Games, took a bike ride along the coast with some buddies, saw dolphins! It was refreshing.
However, I did realize how much I missed my friends here in my city! I missed being able to communicate in the language I have been learning. While I didn't miss working too much, I am so glad to be back teaching and relishing the joy that God gives me through all of my wonderful students! I was sad to miss half of April while being in Istanbul. Thankful that my love for my friends here and this city has grown over the past seven months. Today is actually the 7-month anniversary from the day I stepped foot here in Central Asia. Oh, how the time flies!
Until next time!
